Defeated Bhaal Reapers just disappear after the Undercity Battle?

So, I've finished this long fight behind the Bhaal door near the Undercity waypoint (took me almost an hour) and wanted to loot everyone, but it turns out after killing the Farslayer, all defeated reapers are just gone suddenly. I managed to loot one guy mid battle, he wore very good gloves (violett rarity) so I assume the others might have had some good stuff on them too. The guy I looted isn't there anymore neither.

Here's my question: Are the other enemies just gone forever or will I find their bodies deeper inside the Bhaal cult area? If they're just gone, I would need to redo the whole battle + loot everyone the second they die and that would take me twice or thrice as long since navigating that huge area while being in-battle (since I'm not allowed to kill the Farslayer?) is tedious and quite honestly, disgusting. I only finished this fight so "quickly" because of my summons and they can't loot. Urgh.

Pleeeeeeeease tell me I don't have to defeat them again xD

In case somebody else faces this situation: I redid the battle.

Aside from the neat gloves I mentioned above, the loot of the other reapers was negligible (just a few arrows, green daggers and regular white weapons). Looting every single one of them was not worth it, but at least I/we know this now.

...what a terribly long fight! :D
