Why is Halsin missing voice lines and ability sound effects?

When you move/attack/interract he is completely silent.
And when using an ability he is using the generic voice line pool.
Is this an oversight?

I think like Karlach, he was just not given the attention the others were.

sound quality? he's not saying anything, he only speaks in cutscenes or conversations, like i said selecting him, using abilties, using him etc. he is completely silent.

Because he was added as a companion late to cater to "fans" who wanted to lay him, so he is a half-assed character in general. That he is also completely redundant since you have another druid in Jaheira is also a big hint. It's not like we could have had a sorcerer, or a monk, or a bard instead.

Every time I talked to Halsien in my 3 playthroughs I wished we could have taken Khaga instead so yeh. He should say something in combat at least? Not even that is happening for you op?

nop, completely silent, like for example when you attack with karlach she'll say "Cry about it!", Halsin never says anything, or says anything when you move him. only when using abilities then he does the generic 'chant' voice lines. But he doesent have his own like all other playable characters has.

Yeah I mean in cut scenes, he'll say one sentence significantly more quietly than the one before and it's weird. I don't use him often enough to have noticed your issue.

i noticed it instantly the first time i used him :-/

This is a bug, he's supposed to have all the normal voiced "ambient" lines. Did you ever solve the issue? I have it now too, and with Wyll as well.

new hotfix came out and still nothing with Halsin... hopefully this gets added. its so off-putting that there isnt even a sound for when he attacks/gets hurt.

I have the same issue, I multiclassed him to barbarian and even his rage scream is missing, for some reason Karlach is also missing her ambient lines and her rage scream, I searched everywhere and no one even talks about this bug :(

Same problem here, still nothing on patches, hotfix or any response from larian
