Bestiality and homosexuality in the game
Hi please do not flame, this is a serious question.
I am a very religious person and because of my religious beliefs, I cannot play the game with the current state, as there is a lot of beastiality and homosexual relationships forced on the player. Please do not misunderstand, I have no problem with others enjoying these fetishes and I support if it makes you happy, but I have to adhere to the moral code of my religion and I cannot play the game that promotes these things.
Do you think in the future, there will be an option added that is more inclusive towards religious people, which lowers the amount of the ... "alternative" sexual content, to make it more vanilla so to speak?
Maybe a DLC or a future patch? Then I would play the game and not risk going to Hell for it.

Holy crap... you people are horrible. The dude asked an honest question and you're attacking him for simply HAVING religious beliefs... I don't see anywhere that's even indicated what they are; much less has he tried to force it down anyone's throat.

So to answer the original question, which has... kind of been answered...

There is an option when you first start the game to turn off all nudity. I don't know for sure, but I expect that also disables the more graphic parts of the sex scenes, but it would be pretty obvious what was implied.

So yes, there are fairly graphic sex scenes in the game, and if you romance one particular character (who is a druid) he evidently turns into a bear for part/ all of the scene. I myself haven't done that scene (and have no interest in it), but it does exist.

That said, every single sex scene is completely optional. Most of your companions-- male or female-- will try to sleep with you (some of them are pretty aggressive about it), but you have the opportunity to turn them down. At no point are you required to see a sex scene*.

*There is one not-very-graphic sex scene you could accidentally stumble upon between a bugbear and an ogre. It's more funny than sexual, and no nudity is shown, but if you come to a barn door where you hear "sounds of passion"... you may want to leave it closed.

Now, depending on your religious beliefs, it seems fair to warn you that there is a LOT of extremely disturbing gore in the game as well. There are extremely vivid depictions of people being dismembered, disemboweled, mutilated, tortured... at more than one point in the game you wade through pools of human remains.

You are also-- at one point or another-- almost required to make a deal with a devil. I THINK you can avoid doing that.. but the consequences are pretty dire. Larian is a big fan of forcing players into morally ambiguous situations.

This game is absolutely rated M for a reason, and if you're not wanting to experience that, you probably should skip this one.

If you're looking for a cRPG that is still very intense, but not quite so... vivid... I would recommend Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. It is a MUCH more difficult game than this, but the story is also very good and overall a great game. Bear in mind that even in WotR there are some pretty visceral depictions of gore (though not as intense as BG3), and you do spend a fairly long period of time in Hell itself working and for demons. That said... you can also actively work against them and maintain your own righteousness.

At the end of the day, fantasy games like this tend to attract a LOT dabbling in the occult, gore, and morally gray kinds of things... and often cater to the 22 year old virgins who mock strangers on the internet for having religious beliefs.

So, I hope this helps answer some of your questions.

Haven't seen any scenes with bestiality or homosexuality (because I never picked those options). They might be in there, but you have to actively seek them out lol.

Then don't play it. No one cares.

Go play something else.

I care though, because apparently it's a very good game. I don't want to miss out on a game of the decade, so if they make it more accessible (basically a more family friendly version?) it would be playable for me.
I think inclusivity towards religious folks is also important, just like inclusivity towards anybody else. It is 2023 after all!

Easy: don’t play the game. Shadowheart would definitely understand and approve your devotion 🙏🏼

Can you not turn the adult content off?
You're already in hell. May as well enjoy it!

I think you can turn off nudity and sexual content.

Yes, my religion is open minded towards other people.
For example, I wouldn't force a Muslim to eat pork. It's the same thing. I would serve them something that pleases their God, whether or not I agree with them.

Also, I’m 40 hours in and never saw even any mention to bestiality. Maybe try playing the game instead of basing your impressions on what people say on the internet.

Game of the decade? No. That's Red Dead II.

Nothing is forced on you but feel free to avoid this game

Patch 5 has a 'Missionary' mode, where your PC can only have missionary sex. That should solve your moral dilemma no?
