Yenna and Grub (potential Act 3 spoilers)
I've played through the game several times now, and Yenna really creeps me out. She's just... too excited that her mother is dead and seems entirely obvious about the whole situation.

Is there really nothing darker and more twisted with her? It's Larian after all... I kind of expected her to be a shapeshifted demon, or a pscyhopath poisoning my food... but I've never come across a scene like that with her.

Am I missing something, or is she really just the one creepily wholesome person in this whole game?

Mmmyep. She's just a quirky kid that you basically adopt. The only real reason I know of for her existence is that she's the failsafe character that's there in case you don't have anyone that can be kidnapped by Orin, for whatever reason.

That cat is just a bit too skittish for her to be normal. But she appears to be a normal girl who lost her mother. Since she's a possible victim to be kidnapped by Orin, she doesn't appear to be anything evil in disguise. That said, if you've played the original sin games (particularly 2), Larian has a really weird way of putting horrific things next to normal or comedic things. It's almost like a Sam Raimi Evil Dead sort of sensibility.

AAaaahhhh... I didn't consider her as a potential kidnapping victim; it's almost always been Lae'zel for me. That makes sense.

And yes, D:OS2 is probably my favorite game of all time, which is why it surprised me so much that there WASN'T something more sinister with her... the way she shakes her head when she's excited is just too... creepy.

Anyway, I'm on my Dark Urge playthrough, so I didn't let her join. Thanks for clarifying that!

She shows up at your camp anyway even if you tell her to go away. If you ask her to leave your camp, she just comes back.

I always read it in 2 possibly ways. Yenna killed her mom and Grub knows this that's why it's always skittish and wants you to help yenna to keep her happy, or the other is that grub is yennas mom. If you talk to grub it implies that the mom ran off like a cat with cat being italicized lol I think they left it up to you as the player to fill in the gaps with whatever story you made up
