Can i fill empty bottles with water or other fluids?
As per title I am very interested if I can fill empty bottles with fluids in the game such as water, or are empty bottles best off being sold / discarded?\

I believe they are rubbish. Unlike DOS2, I can't find a way to combine say a bottle and an oil barrel. Alchemy and potion making etc seem to manufacture the bottle along with the potion, which I suppose is fair, as each potion consumed does not leave you with empties.

The alchemy part of the game is fairly powerful on harder modes where buffs and such are more important.

No, those bottles have no "real" use, they are just decoration/vendor trash. (although I found them quite useful in conjunction with the Staff of Cherished Necromancy, as small objects just disappear and don't leave extra rubble that'd add to the save file... ;)

i think there are some objects that they possibly thought of trying to implementing in interesting ways such as rope but then couldn't get to work. So they resorted to Larian classic of oodles and oodles of absolutely pointless junk that you have to wade through. They should find something like the magic pockets idea with keys that just explains why all the useless junk you pick up turns to gold. Or just put fewer but more interesting objects that you can actually interact with.

Coming from Divinity 2, I was a little disappointed that the whole crafting section was cut so much. The first thing I tried was to combine things, only to learn that most of the stuff is just junk to be sold and has no use. The Tiefling blacksmith talks about being able to repair stuff or something, but even that isn't necessary. Weapons and armor just last forever. Even if I break through a massive door with my sword, it won't get dull or break. Maybe most players did not like the crafting part, but I must admit that I miss something vital here.

There was supposed to be a crafting system, like alchemy, but it's left on the cutting floor. Most of those items are legacy objects that were supposed to be used for crafting, now they are just vendor trash. I wish they would have removed them from the game, there'd be less clutter.

At least you can use soap now? I think they made it possible to clean blood and grime from your characters using soap in one of the patches. Maybe they'!l implement the crafting system too if they release a definitive edition in the future.

Yeah surprising since DOS 2 the crafting was very expansive, thx for everyones help

It could be that crafting was left out because DnD had it's own rather specific rules for crafting which really didn't fit what larian had before, so Crafting was ultimately just kept in the idea phase and never realized.
