Should I use the skills from parasite?
I triggered a cutscene with my guardian and she told me to use the power from the parasite (having 4 right now and still hesitate to use one). For a player that is role-playing as a good guy and seeking for a Good Ending (I will play another playthrough role-playing as a bad guy and will choose the path that lead to Bad Ending later), should I use that parasite power or not? Will this affect any Endings later in the game?

IIRC, you get an achievement for not using them at all... but no, there is no detriment.

Thks for replying. I am also aiming for 100% achievements so that is great to hear. I will keep playing without using them in this playthrough.

It won't affect anything besides a situation in Chapter 3 where it will be harder to ... not go a step further if you have been using them. Personally, I always knock myself out with them as they are super handy.

There is absolutely no negative consequence to using them. Let the power flow through you.

There’s no such achievement.

Use them or don’t. Nothing will change.

Tadpole powers are pretty cool.

Cull the Weak is super nice to not have to deal with 1 HP enemies. And Perlious Strikes is great to use on bosses as the vulnerability debuff lets you ♥♥♥♥ 'em up real good with your hard hitters.

True. If you look at the list of achievements, you will see that none relate to the parasite and there is no mechanical or story-related downside to accepting the powers, just more abilities. After all, this is a game where choices matter.

If you go all the way with this, you'll end up looking a bit fugly, but Shadowheart will still do you.

Can confirm. I did a playthrough without using the powers once and never got an achievement for it.

Checked online and saw no such achievement as well.

Use them to your heart’s desire.

Use them or don't. This is a role-playing game.

Some of your companions will be more eager to use them than others, but you can gatekeep the eager ones or convince the reluctant ones (with rolls and/or savescumming) if you want.
