That's actually the last thing I care about. If someone wants to make a CWD that's their/his/her business. Players can do whatever they want and I shouldn't be upset because of more options that I will gleefully ignore.
No. Devils would be exactly that.
It really bothers you guys how successful BG3 is, despite being so 'woke.' I mean like...it bothers you a LOT.
Are they even interbreedable with humans ?
Is Karlach a tiefling or a demon?
I can't remember a single interesting Tiefling character from the game
Yes they are basically humans. Fundamentally so are most of the races. And the ones that aren't suppose to be still mostly look like humans and have been molded particularly in the last few years to share the human world view... in other words.. very boring and not diverse at all
Karlach is a Tiefling who has been subjected to the environment of the Hells and tortured and modified.
Tieflings are planetouched Humans. Their appearance is generally the result of outsider beings meddling with them, and that appearance depends on what 'Outsider' affected them (generally in the case of Tieflings it's the influence of Archdevils). Being Planetouched also isn't exclusive to Tieflings as other beings can cause you to be Planetouched.
Karlach is a Tiefling. Even Wyll confirms she's not a Devil after he meets her (or even a Fiend).
They aren't half-breeds. Cambions are Half-breeds, Mizora is a Cambion, Rapheal is a Cambion. But they both come under the prerequisite of "Fiend" (and 'Devils').
I don't like woke pandering personally, but also I can ignore it for the most part unless it's actively trying to make things more difficult like in character creation.
It's sad, I was really into the gameplay, I wanted to get into the lore but it felt so surface level. I can't deny what other posters said, they made a huge effort to show me the sexuality of other NPCs but never went deeper and more distinct into the different races.
Demons and Dark Elves are the only interesting and distinct races out there.
I was missing some racial slurs towards my characters like I faced in Dragon Age.
The Cult of Bhaal turned out to be just a discount Dark Brotherhood. What even is the purpose of this cult? to end the world in bloodshed? Who joins such a cult, only deranged lunatics ?
Warhammer lore blows BG lore out of the water for me, despite me beating this game 3 times, the world just never captured me.
There aren't any Demons present in BG3. There are Fiends, no Demons.
Demons barely resemble humans and even the Fiends (and consecutively Archdevils) hate them. They actively wage the Blood Wars against the Demons — as irony has it, the Fiends are the only things holding the denizens of the Abyss (largely demons) back otherwise you'd have much worse problems in Faerun.
More powerful is subjective, but they are largely chaotic and hold allegiance to no one—they literally embody destruction, which is not something even Fiends want because in the grand scale it doesn't serve them.
As mentioned above, Demons are almost entirely monstrous in appearance. They are plainly described as the most evil you can get because they simply want to destroy everything.
That sounds like what Bhaals cult wants kind of ? just chaos and bloodshed ?
