Silver Sword of the Astral Plane patched

I did it like 30 minutes ago...

EDIT: details: i used Shadowheart's command>drop weapon. She was level 4 and i sent her in alone and just res'd her with Withers back at camp. Used Astarion to sneak in and grab the weapon after the fight.

Takes save scumming, but is perfectly doable. Wasnt patched out at all.

Well this is interesting...

I hopped on just now and got into my first fight since getting the Astral Sword yesterday. It was in the swamp area and it was my party, two enemies in the swamp BUT the Githyanki patrol were also in the fight and they were still way over in the broken bridge area. I went nearby to the Goblin Camp to start another fight to see if the Githyanki patrol would still join the fight and they didnt.

This was only my second time ever using a cleric>drop weapon spell to get the Astral Sword. This time around i noticed that the Gith patrol didnt reset and go to their spot. Instead they just stood around Shadowhearts dead body which was why i had to have Withers res her instead me me using a scroll.

Use fog cloud or other similar effects to get in close.

yeah this is the bug that persists when u take the silver sword.

I did it yesterday using invisibility potion and Command.

Using Shadowheart in a party of one with Command: Drop and Sanctuary is a very easy way to do this.

And, yes, it still works, so we can fairly safely assume by now that the devs are happy with this mechanism.

this doesnt work anymore, when you hit them with disarm u just go into some conversation but the weapon doesnt drop

I just grabbed it a few days on my honour mode run, it absolutely works. Voss just sometimes has a crossbow out instead of the sword for some unknown reasons.

After update 5, don't know exactly how long ago, but I doubt they put it in the most recent hotfix.
