How do you use the iron flask to capture creatures?

Craziest thing that happened to me in any playthrough:

Lae'zel wakes me up in the night says she wants to fight me. OK, sure. So I agree. But the iron flask is in her inventory. Suddenly there is a MFing beholder in the middle of the camp, and Lae'zel is still busy trying to attack me too....

Laezel is so damn nuts.. There is only one proper use for her and that is sacrificing her to BOOOAL.

Thats not how it works in vanilla.

However, there is a mod for that.
It essentially turns the flask into a proper masterball that you can use to store and conjure any NPC/creature in the game.

That I can agree with. I play a duergar fighter atm and he is even better than Lae`zel. He is like a natural born fighter and really op with his grow ability which increases his strength and he even gets invisibitly with unlimited use at lvl 5.
