Playing as Wyll - Questions about act 3
I am in my first playthrough and coming close to the end I believe in Act 3. I accidentally played as Wyll my first playthrough (Totally missed the button to make my own character... idiot moment). Anyways, I want to free Wyll and ♥♥♥♥ over Mizora by saving Duke Ravenguard despite the contract, but it seems playing as Wyll this is impossible, whereas it is an option if you were to play as your own character... Am I missing something or is this the case? Is this impossible to complete playing as Wyll? In which case, not sure if I should forfeit my freedom or just save myself (I think I just want freedom for Wyll because he was planning on living with Shadowheart after they defeat the elder brain) Any suggestions / advice?

You can indeed free Wyll while playing as origin, and save Ravengarde ontop of it. Youd get the first option to escape the pact when freeing Mizora in Moonrise towers.

The steps is getting into act 3, reaching the castle to view the coronation. Mizora tells you to go see it. After the coronation, rest and mizora may give you the offer to leave your pact and sacrifice your father. Or take an eternal pact and she will tell you where Gortash took him.

However she lies, you can go to the Iron Throne to rescue your father even when leaving the pact. Though Mizora will try to kill Ravengarde with explosive spiders she spawns in during the rescue. But make use of dimension door scrolls to get ravengarde out of danger. And dont forget you can heal him with thrown potions if if its not a healer finding him.

Player as origin? Like as in playing as Wyll? I am playing as Wyll, I went to long rest, Mizora offered the 2 deals, if I say I want to be free and sacrifice my father he does not appear in the iron throne to be saved (I went to the coronation). Basically what I was asking is if you can still free yourself (playing as Wyll), and save your father. Doesn't seem like you can do both unless you are playing as Tav

Playing as origin, means playing them as the main character. And you mustve made some bad choices somewhere, Ive found and extracted ravengarde just fine from the iron throne while playing as Wyll. And that was when leaving the pact.

Yeah, so if I long rest after the the deal - does he die? But a long rest is the only way to trigger the interaction for the deal? Playing as Shadowheart, if I go talk to Mizora, she states the Duke's not dead yet. Not sure where I would've messed up, what do you think?. I've also killed Orin already and attended the Coronation. Haven't sided with Gortash yet either. As far as I know, I shouldn't have done anything to prevent not being able to save him. Maybe it's a bug or something to do with resting (Maybe I need to rest again AFTER doing the deal with Mizora?)

You want to get to the iron throne and extract the prisoners.

Yeah I went to do that after I made the deal to free Wyll and he's not there, not even his body etc

you made sure you watched the coronation?

Yeah then Gortash told me to go see him, not going to do that yet though because I need to blow up the foundry, and for that I want to free the dudes from the Iron Throne. Rested up for spell slots etc, Mizora came, break contract, go to Iron Throne - no sign of the Duke....

I suspect you went to the wrong direction there.

Not sure how I would of, I've read that and other stuff on how to free Wyll and save his father. I suspect its a bug. I might try 1 more long rest prior to going to the Iron Throne to see if it fixes things, I'll let you know how it work outs

Ok so Duke Ravenguard is still at the coronation despite long resting twice. That's probably why he's not being held hostage in the iron throne. I think it's a bug
