HELP. Cant play multiplayer after patch 4!

Hello, wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. After the new patch update I can't join multiplayer saves. To share some background, 4 of us play in this saved file. We all share the same mods, but for some reason everyone can join except me. We took out BG3 mod manager as someone said that helped them, but not for us. Then we also downgraded ImproveUI like someone else said, and that too didn't work. Super frustrating, feel like this update screwed up a lot of peoples games.

do you play on mac while they play on pc, there seems to be a version difference currently?

Happening to me too, except we tried changing hosts as well. It's probably that the new patch broke one of the mods. Version number for all players are the same.

I do not, I play on pc/windows

we also tried this, having me host and them joining, it kicked them out immediately.

The app crashes to desktop any time we try to play local co-op.
Haven't found a workaround just yet.

edit: no mods whatsoever

Tried different setups, drop-in local coop, old coop which we started together, etc, as soon as the second player joins via the controller, the game is gone.
Well, well, Raphael is going lengths to prevent us from getting the you know what from you know where in order to free you know who,

Bumping this cause this kind of sucks. I play vanilla, but a few friends have a modded play through with some custom classes. It was fun till we just can't join each other's campaign. It just keeps sending us to the main screen. Really hoping someone can help with this. All our mods are updated, playing on pc, and all in order.

Same issue. Now I can't play with my windows friend. Fix the problem please!!
p.s. changing something in files is very bad idea as software engineer I can tell that it might lead to corrupted data and kill your progress!

I am having the same issue. We've been able to play but my game just completely froze and I couldn't close it with ctrl + alt +delete or by alt f4. I have to log out of my windows profile or restart to get the game to unfreeze. But I cannot join my game with my friend anymore now without it doing this every time. But I can play my single player game. Extremely frustrating.

Same here. very frustrating. crash so bad that can't even close the game. and changing hosts, changing save files don't work.

Also, some what curious to see what mods everyone has if possible... maybe we can figure out if it is a mod that is causing incompatibility??

Also trying to play multiplayer with someone using a mac while I'm using windows. Can't as apparently we're running different versions of the game even though we're both up to date.

Update: it seems like it has to do with the hotfix for PC that came out on Nov 3. The mac version has not been released yet, thus making PC and mac versions incompatible and unable to play together in multiplayer until the mac hotfix drops.

My friends and I have tried numerous mods. Taking things out. Putting things in. We even tried vanilla. It still kicks us out of each other's campaign. Can't even start a new one. Do you want like a list?
