Final battle problem

I am fighting now the elder brain. It seems so, that the illithid in my team should have a special spell to take control over the brain. But he (in my case the Emperor) doesnt have anything. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you. But I think my illithid is broken. These are all spell he has. He is not far away from the crown. And I don't see it.

The icon should be in a seperate "widget" on the right side of your skillbar, left from your "end turn" button.
Anyhow, you can check a youtube video to see it and make sure you didn't miss it.
If you confirmed you did not overlook it and you also cannot find it in your spellbook after clicking "K", then reload to a point before you enter the fight.
If reloading also doesn't help, then the only thing you can do is send a Larian bug report.

Like pezenwever said, it's separate from the others. Make sure you didn't accidentally click one of the tabs or 'filters' at the bottom of the UI that might have hidden it.

Thank you, but if I click on "Action" to see all available options I don't see this spell at all. The spell book doesn't have it either. It seems my game is broken. Thanks to Gale I can still end the game otherwise.

Check each of the subfolders, if you use see all, it usually just shows a short version of the tabs.

The ability comes from holding the quest item, the connected netherstones, AFAIK.

Who in your team has that item?
