They want to be heard, not to read other posts/threads. So, no luck.

Advocating for meaningful change isn't the goal for some of the more vocal folks around here.

I reckon everyone knows this. Personally, I don't expect Larian to care what I think, I just like talking about stuff without it being too much of a pain.

sometimes it kinda looks like all they want is to throw a temper tantrum.
otherwise, going to the official forum is the logical thing to do

but you can't farm clown awards there, so the "specials" here on Steam won't care

there are so many discussions with people crying saying "larian doesn't read these posts, why don't they answer us" etc

larian literally said "use the official forum"

I don't get it

it's worse than reddit, feels like 4chan 2.0

True. Othrewise how to explain dozens of threads with the same title. And it's real funny sometimes, typical thread looks like:

1. I have problem...
2. same
3. same
4. same
5. here is working workaround
6. same
7. I have same problem
8. same

Maybe they are lemmings?

I'm on Larian's official forums as well and people there are asking Larian to hear them, acknowledge their ideas, vent about bugs. The moderators keep reminding them it's not going to happen. Only wait to get Larian's attention is to file a bug report or find a way to contact them directly.

So if you are on the forum to complain, might as well do it on steam. Once in a while someone takes pity or likes what you say and give an award or something. On Larian forums you get ziltch. ( Except maybe a sympathetic ear or people knocking you down) ;)

it's a well known fact that even though they aren't constantly answering, they do read the forum A LOT MORE than they read steam.
The last patch included hundreds of fixes and additions from requests made in the forum

I suspect at least part of this is down to the fact that some of the more virulently awful folks on this forum recognize 4chan for what it is, and understand that while they can always count on a quick glad-hand from people who are of a similar ideological alignment and level of social maladjustment, shouting into an echo chamber doesn't allow them to vent their spleen as they can in mixed company.

...they won't dare do these things in public, because cowards abhor consequences, but here? Here they can be every bit as confrontational as they want, and they don't have to look anyone in the eye to do it.

It's every bit as pathetic as it sounds.

ahh yes, the keyboard warriors
steam should offer them anger management support groups.
this forum is useless thanks to the constant "wokety woke" drama and political campaigns, they should go to a political rally and vent

They banned ‘woke’ on the official forums, and you think people with differing opinions are going to be heard there?

Also, I’ve made many complaints on Steam about the bonkers restrictions placed on the hirelings. Previously you couldn’t create custom hirelings – they were locked because IMO some wokist was paranoid an ‘inclusive’ party might not appear on a youtuber’s channel.

My complaint was heard. Check out the latest patch, where amazingly you can now – sorta – create a fully custom party. You can at least edit the racial ‘look’ of the hirelings.

The playersexual toggle will be next. They’ve definitely noticed that the forced wokism isn’t quite being ignored as well as expected.

All reasonable, sane people advocate for ‘choices’. You have to possess a dedicated agenda to be against that. And the anger of a certain playerbase says everything about their hostile outlook towards the majority culture getting any hint of say over how they play private entertainment.

Like the hireling update, my prediction is that toggle will be a concession rather than a true toggle. It’ll have some ‘catch’. We’re only asking for predefined sexualities to exist, but even that’s anathema to the woke-elite: everyone must be open to sex! It’ll probably just be a romance off/on toggle, because they’ll want to put a sting in it for folks who want to toggle off the playersexual but still want to pursue the romances.

Won’t bother me in the slightest. The pixel romance couldn’t be more depressingly antisocial – it’s like some kind of dystopian token romance with a machine because the human doesn’t have the social skills/looks to get any action in reality. That’s just my take on it, and we’re all entitled to it. I certainly wouldn’t want to deprive anyone of it as an option.

I mean, you don't have to do the sex stuff if you don't want to. It's not forced or mandatory, just say "no" and that's it.
