Different Game Versions Error

Getting the different game version error but both have all available updates?

OK, it's a PC and Mac issues. PC has 4.1.1.89 while Mac is at 4.1.1.88

After patch 4, my PC got a mini update while my Mac did not. No update available for Mac. Nice work update team!

I can explain the problem for you. It's easy: you have different game versions!

There was 5,7 mb hotfix for PC recently. I think they did it to solve critical patch problems ASAP. So just wait a little. I'm sure you'll receive same for mac soon.

This is of course a very correct approach on the part of the update team.

Hey guys, I have termporary solution !!! Player with mac could change version number in local files. Just enter the same version number as your partner have.

path to file:
/Users/[YOU_USER_HEARE]/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Baldurs Gate 3/Baldur's Gate 3.app (tap right button and choose "show package content") /Contents
File name:
Info.plist
Open this by some text editor

In this file you should find:
<key>CFBundleVersion</key>

Change
<string>4.1.1.3882084</string>
to
<string>4.1.1.3905231</string>

saved file! It may not save the first time. Launch the game, see the version. If it hasn't changed, change it again in the file and save again

Make a backup of your saves though, the version mismatch can corrupt the saves down the line.

given that it is primarily a single player game, getting a hotfix out is 99% of the time the better choice even if it is not for all platforms at the same time. It will likely improve the situation for way more players than it causes problems.

Tried this, it didn't work, it completely messed up the game and had to completely reinstall

I have a problem - a friend (who is with a MAC) when modifying files, the game does not see his profile and does not allow him to create a new one. Has someone already found a way to solve this problem?

Very true!!! I also followed the method to open the game through the file MACOS before I open it with Steam on. AND IT DOESN'T WORK! Somebody help me!!!! My weekend is ruined!!!
