Patch 4 ruined my graphics
Hi, new to Baldurs Gate and PC gaming. After the new update, game loaded and seems to be working fine for me, however the graphics are so ♥♥♥♥. Everything is blurry and it's not as crisp as it was before the update. Can anyone help? Unsure how to fix this.

The same over here...totally unplayable!

I noticed the game looks blurry also regardless of settings since the patch, I thought it was my eyesight but I see others having this issue on youtube also etc

Same. Game instantly crashes in Vulkan and is a stuttery mess in DX11

Me too. Before I always had about 110 fps and no noticeable fps loss.
Since the patch there have been several heavy fps losses down to 16 fps.
Video frequencies were previously around 90 fps and are now at a stuttering 30 fps.

The graphics settings are unchanged and my PC has the capacity.

I reset my gfx settings via the launcher and it seems to have fixed it

Fixed mine. It put my screen as borderless window instead of full screen. Switching let me adjust max refresh and Nvidia DLL without crashing.

My game stopped displaying item icons in containers.

For me, the character rendering just looks bad and blurry now. I used to be able to zoom in and get really crisp nice looking screenshots of characters but now it's all smeared and blurry. The WORST is when you're looking at your character in the inventory screen. You can barely even identify facial features (eyes, nose, mouth, etc)
Flush your shaders and disable dling shaders via Steam (which shouldn't be enabled by default btw Valve), and instead compile them with the GPU API.

Make sure your screen isn't in borderless window and is actually full screen. From there you can change the refresh rate to what your monitor can handle. This was my issue.

The following worked for me:-
Right click on Baldurs gate 3 in your games list
Select "Properties"
Select "Installed Files"
Select "Verify integrity of game files"
In my case this revealed that a number of files were not properly installed, and an automatic repair process was instigated.
After a rather lengthy (but still automatic) sequence of checking, validating, downloading, & installing , the "Ready to play" message appeared
And Hey Presto everything is now working fine again

reparing files fixed this for me

I had to switch to DX11 and force Anisotropic Filtering to 16x in the Nvidia Control Panel Program Settings for profile: bg3_dx11.exe

All it probably did was reset your settings to default. If they change something in the settings file that can happen as they send you a new settings file.
