patch 4 update not validating/downloading

hello i don't know why the new update isn't downloading its only gets up to 94% and then restarts every time back to 0%. Has anyone else had the same issue as me ive noticed a few other people have had the same issue but at lower percentages? please help

Yeh its screwed up for me as well. Timer goes out to 11 days. It downloaded fine, just the updating and validating process is screwed up

Stop the download and restart steam, if that doesn't work restart the internet router and pc. I use to run into this issue and it turned out the router was dying. But a restart normally worked

Done all that and still same issue.

Also, if I stop it and download something else that download works fine but the BG3 one still struggles when I switch back to it

I am having issues downloading as well. moving incredibly slow, stopping and starting, corruption or error, etc.

again, not true, steam has issues sometimes that are caused by the internet where a download will fail and rack up days, or keep restarting. Sorry it may not be unrelated for you or anyone else with high-speed internet, but it is a cause for those who don't have that. Not every country has the same internet speed.

read my response and experience and try again yourself. I've had the same issues with games they are having and what i suggested helped solve the issues.
