Is this game better than Honkai Star Rail?
Both are turn based and I enjoyed HSR.
Thinking of checking out BG3 as well. Is it on the same level as HSR?

This game in not a gotacha live service game so that makes it instantly a 1000 times better.

They are different (personally I'd say BG3 is way better than HSR simply becasue of honkai being built upon a really predatory monetization system...), different enough that I wouldn't really put them in the same category to compare (like which is better Devil May Cry 5 or Persona 5? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the more important question is which one will be more to your taste)
I suggest looking up some let's play videos and seeing if it looks appealing to you

The combat system of BG3 looks extremely boring for me. But idk, maybe it can grow on me.

I enjoy HSR combat and if you ignore all the gacha the story and characters are great.

Based on my own experiences, I think a better comparison for combat would be the Fire Emblem franchise rather than HSR? BG3 isn't restricted by a grid like FE is, but both have limited movement and a set amount of actions each turn. Combat requires strategy here, going in blind can likely get your party wiped out, even on easier modes.

Is BG3's combat even enjoyable? I can't find myself having fun with it while putting some rock music on the background.

Did the opinion change after the hype is over? Would you put Hsr higher now?

It's still turn-based combat, and vastly superior in every aspect to trash gacha games. You can go away now.
Did you even play Hsr?

Seems you're a bit slow, so in simple words, just for you:
No one here gives a flying fart about HSR!
You're welcome.

As in the OP's "is it woke" thread posted shortly after this thread, OP needs a new hobby.
