if im not mistaken "Tav" came from "Gustav" it was one of the founder's dog's name

TAV was a generic, default name of player character during beta, and a lot of people kept forgetting to change it before they hit the Play button.
It stuck so much that eventually became a meme and Larian decided to just stick with it during comunity updates and general naming when it came to player created characters.

Was it origins actually from Tadpoled Adventurer I don't know, but it would made sense. :D
