Can you have more than one character?

You see, I'm loving the game, and I'm currently role-playing with an OC and it's amazing, however, I also want to play with my other OCs in different games. The reason is that I haven't finished the game yet, and I would like to know if it is possible to create a new game without deleting the current one.
I have heard that with multiplayer it is possible if you use a bug, but I wouldn't want my game to crash because it is somewhat unstable. Is it possible, or maybe there is a mod that allows it?

You can create a new campaign any time. No need to delete other ones.

If you make a new character, it starts a brand new Campaign. You will still see the old one on the Load screen. You can go back and forth as you wish.

BUT, in order to isolate Mods from the game, you have to create a new USER. Mods share globally across campaigns within a USER selection.

Yes it lets you switch characters to load different games

Keep their names different to separate saves, and remember to make manual saves - don't rely on quick or autosaves.
