Minthara Romance (beyond Act 2) permanently broken or does it not exist at all?
I'm sure this has been discussed a ton, but I can't find what I'm looking for. I keep seeing patches discuss Minthara romance bugs have been fixed, so I finally felt comfortable giving it a shot. Before I finished Act 2, I get the conversation where you can share what's in your mind with each other, and she wraps it up saying "tonight I am yours" or something along those lines.

But after that, there's no scene. It just shows the normal rest all around the campfire, then no mention whatsoever from her. Is there a scene? Is it broken? Or did Larian just not make one?

Then beyond that, I played an hour into Act 3, went to the druid at the circus, and afterward, any time I speak to her she says the "you are bold to seek me out after sharing your affections with another!"

Did Larian just give up half way through her story & decide to end it there? Were there additional scenes/dialogue through Act 3 like with other companions & they're just bugged from being shown? It now feels like I have a dead party member who will no longer react to the entirety of Act 3 (the biggest portion of the game), and is just a walking zombie. I wanted to continue the romance through the end of the game, but I guess that's no longer an option.

I just want to know if this is something likely to be fixed? Because the game's been out for months now, and this seems like a pretty massive issue to have a companion's entire storyline/romance just dry up wtih 1/3 of the game left. I may just start a new game at this point, since the only reason I went this route was to see the story through with Minthara, but if they don't have a full story for her, it'll be a waste just retreading everything I already know.

Again, thanks for the help & sorry if this discussion has been done to death.

Same problem, I started playing again just because of her, but after the conversation at the end of Act 2 there was no scene, and then she just ignored me

What bugs me too is that she has no voicelines when casting spells. Both Jaheira and Halsin do. Even after the "fix" it still feels like a waste giving up on all the content just to get Minthara.

No more scene but there is an ending cutscene with her as partner.

I just got Minthara in end of act 2 to finally accept my main, and then at start of act 3 - she says "you are bold to seek me out after sharing your affections with another!" to me as well. My main have not fooled around with anyone else :)
I do hope this gets resolved, bc I wanna romance Minthara to the end.

The game is an unfinished mess. This is more apparent beyond Act 1. I don't think they actually test these "hot fixes".

same happened to me. whole game i didnt even flirt with anyone else, but she mad now.
she didnt even appear in the cutscene where the gang gazes over Baldurs Gate from that lookout. just an empty spot between us :(
i read that minthara only has the one romance scene from act one...
i got that not that many people gonna pick her and would even go through all the sacrifices you have to make to get her. The few moments when you have longer conversations with her are great. she deserves a little more love from the devs

Agree +1. She is an amazing character. And I'm also at the same spot.

Yeah, really sad that nothing is happening...

I've been pausing my first playtrough for more than 6 weeks now, but I'm slowly losing hope that Minthara will become playable.

And in general, I don't have the impression that Larian has even recognized the real problem. You can't punish someone in a roleplaying game for choosing the evil side - there always has to be some sort of compensation. Unfortunately, it seems to me that in BG3 you are constantly punished if you take the "wrong side"...

Personally, I found not having to interact with halsin, karlach or wyll in any way other than killing them to be a massive reward.

It does feel like that they didn't have the time left to put focus on her, especially since most players will never recruit her. As based off their surveys the vast majority of players picked the Good Choices (and chose the Grove by a massive margin) and play the "vanilla" trio of Human, Elf, and Half-Elf.

Odd that Drow weren't played more....

that is true for first run. But all will want to try minthara. There are posts online with her removed content and pregnacy etc. Anyway she is the only female option for a evil based party. There are too many bugs to fix for them I guess success also has it's downside all of us want something from them and we want it yesterday!

Yeah i was bummed about Minthara after the so called fix. Was very disappointing.
On my 1st playthrough i romanced Karlach . Was pretty disappointing as well .

The romance in the game is mediocre at best.

I like everything else tho aside from act 3 being well u know abit of a mess.

It's true most players will choose the good options because let's face it, the world revolves around these types of things especially in movies where the good guys always have to win. Kids love heros, adults love supervillains.

But you're wrong by saying Minthara is the only evil female option. I've had Lae'zel in a romance since the beginning and she has loved every single choice I've made. My Shadowheart is also very fond of my character. In fact in Act 3 my Minthara, Lae'zel and Shadowheart have even begun to complement each other like the evil triplets you always dreamed of.

For a game that lets you romance everyone and everything, the romance seems to be quite poorly implemented.

Agreed, I think except for Wyll and Karlach (Haven't played with them so I don't really know what I'm talking about here), anyone else can be more or less moved to the dark side.
