I do hope this gets resolved, bc I wanna romance Minthara to the end.
she didnt even appear in the cutscene where the gang gazes over Baldurs Gate from that lookout. just an empty spot between us :(
i read that minthara only has the one romance scene from act one...
i got that not that many people gonna pick her and would even go through all the sacrifices you have to make to get her. The few moments when you have longer conversations with her are great. she deserves a little more love from the devs
Agree +1. She is an amazing character. And I'm also at the same spot.
I've been pausing my first playtrough for more than 6 weeks now, but I'm slowly losing hope that Minthara will become playable.
And in general, I don't have the impression that Larian has even recognized the real problem. You can't punish someone in a roleplaying game for choosing the evil side - there always has to be some sort of compensation. Unfortunately, it seems to me that in BG3 you are constantly punished if you take the "wrong side"...
It does feel like that they didn't have the time left to put focus on her, especially since most players will never recruit her. As based off their surveys the vast majority of players picked the Good Choices (and chose the Grove by a massive margin) and play the "vanilla" trio of Human, Elf, and Half-Elf.
Odd that Drow weren't played more....
On my 1st playthrough i romanced Karlach . Was pretty disappointing as well .
The romance in the game is mediocre at best.
I like everything else tho aside from act 3 being well u know abit of a mess.
But you're wrong by saying Minthara is the only evil female option. I've had Lae'zel in a romance since the beginning and she has loved every single choice I've made. My Shadowheart is also very fond of my character. In fact in Act 3 my Minthara, Lae'zel and Shadowheart have even begun to complement each other like the evil triplets you always dreamed of.
For a game that lets you romance everyone and everything, the romance seems to be quite poorly implemented.
Agreed, I think except for Wyll and Karlach (Haven't played with them so I don't really know what I'm talking about here), anyone else can be more or less moved to the dark side.
