The whole Triad is still around and/or are back, in fact.
In BG3 there are arrows bearing his name.
Tyr's been replaced with Torm. I'm not sure if Tyr's still alive or not. Anyway, he gave his portfolio and most of his power to Torm. IIRC, The Triad is now: Bahamut, Torm and Ilmater.
Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if they replace Ilmater at some point. He's a pastiche/parody of Christ and I'm surprised he lasted as long as he has.
Yes. Tyr came back to life after the Second Sundering, and Torm stepped back down.
So the Triad is now Tyr, Torm and Ilmater again.
Personally I find it highly understandable that the authors wanted to remove any reminders of 4th Edition, though in case of the triad it could be argued that the Platinum Dragon would be more fitting than a god copied from Norse mythology.
