No option to buy the owlbear cub?

I can play the chicken chase but the option to get the cub doesn't appear no matter what. What am I supposed to do?

speak to the cub with animal speech and then do what you must to free him from his captors. whether it peaceful or not. then you have to progress as normal and he will show up randomly after a long rest.

i think you have to talk to the cub in the cave first if im not mistaken with its mother.. and give it your scent then go to the goblin camp

I don't think you need to do both the cave and camp talks, you just have to save him from goblins/don't let him get killed when you're leaving and everyone's attacking you and tell him to go to your camp either through talking to animals spell or letting him smell you, which you can do either in cave or in camp

ahhh i did both because i thought it was the cub remember your scent that made it feel it could trust you.

I just needed to speak to it apparently, I thought you first had to negotiate with the goblin which was my problem because there's no option before the animal speaking
