upto the shar temple and putting the blood of lathander does nothink infront of the mirror that deviours all light feel like there should be somthing extra there like turning the blood of lathander to a more evil rollplay like weapon that creates darkness instead of giving light would be intresting for darkness builds imo but hey carnt get everything just thought it could be a cool thing to add

So...anyway...one thing that would be cool is if the weapon could level up with the party so that it remains relevant late game.

It's a +3 mace with a blinding aura effect, that also gives a once per day 6th level spell. It stays relevant forever from the +3 alone, non-legendary weapons cap at +2. The rest ensures it's one of the more useful Legendaries and worth considering for anyone that's making use of a shield as well.

I don't agree. By Act 3, is was pretty much redundant. Doesn't do enough damage to be viable. It could use a buff or two as your party progresses.

I don't think you know what viable means. You can end the game with it, just like i did. Are there better weapons ? Yeah. Do you need better weapons ? Absolutely not

There are Sharran weapons with darkness theme. Those are probably what you are looking for.
