Are firewine/oil barrels worth the carry weight?
Oil can at least prone so maybe oil is fine but is all firewine able to do is take up an action to throw and then have to use another action to hit it with fire to cause burning ground? Not really sure 1d4 damage from burning ground is worth over encumbering from 1 or 2 barrels. Are they more useful then that?

Excepting the Firewine barrels with Kobolds sleeping in them, nah they're not worth bothering with. Even Oil barrels I question because Grease bottles exist and do the same thing for much less weight. Smokepowder all the way, that's the only one that properly explodes.

You can just use a elixir of hill giant strength to set strength to 21. Can be bought from Ethel or Derrith. Barrels can just be send to your camp box.

I don't use the wine barrels, but oil barrels are in general really good.
Send them to camp.

Don't throw the barrels - 'drop item' from your inventory then use left click drag on them to move them around the battlefield without using an action - or set them up ahead of time if you can (there are lots of sneaky ways to do this emloying Minor Illusion and Invisibility).

Do you like winning fights in round one? Yes barrelmancy is definitely worth it.

Not really, you can move them around before a battle to set a trap but the burn damage isn't that much.
The smoke powder barrels if you keep them unbroken can be good, but you can't throw them or they break into flammable powder that doesn't explode anymore.
There are just cups of oil and bottles of grease and wine everywhere you can throw that are much lighter.
The couple of unique tactical nuke barrels though, keep those for something special.

Oil barrel explosion does stack to a huge degree so hiding behind a boss and shoving them behind his arse is a good tactic.
