Warning to those doing romance in an evil playthrough

If you manage to keep Karlach in your party after assaulting the grove, dont choose anything that might lead to romance, Dammon will be dead and there will be no way to continue the romance. Also there will be no dialogue option to end the romance. Seems like an oversight, hopefully they can patch it.

How would you keep her in your Party? Doesn't she immediately leave? or does she wait for you to talk to her so she can say she leaves? I never sided with the goblins because I cant stand the goblins and minthara's voice.

There is no reason for them to patch Karlach's romance to work with a grove raid playthrough because she's meant to leave. If you did some shenanigans to keep her, it's unrealistic to expect Larian to attend to that world state.

Though to be fair, even though I dont really care about it ; they should add an extra one or two evil companions. ( not necessarily new) but make one of the already evil characters companionable (if thats a word)

If you play evil , then Minthara is the only one in your group that understands you , loves you and appreciates you and your Bhaal family the way you are . She even fears and respects your sis Orin.

Fair enough, but I just cant stand her voice. I couldnt tell you why, but I get your point of view, I should probably one day do a run with her on my side.

I dont understand why karlach didnt dump my ass when Gortash told my group I was working for him. I didnt even try to really convince her that he was lying, I kinda rolled with it so that I could get at Orin. She got mad for 1 dialog, then it was pretty much like it never happened lol

If Karlach is dead when you raid the grove, she doesn't leave the party and you can resurrect her afterwards, and it would make sense to patch it because Minthara and Karlach have dialogues talking about each other, so why would they add those dialogues if they were never meant to co-exist.

They patched this specifically, because minthara truly becomes a companion at act II only. Which is another reason I dont like her, she sucks your c*ck and then kicks rock outta your camp until further in act II

Actually if you ignore the whole grove mess and jumpstart act 2, you'll find Minthy in the tower. And you can have Karlach with you.

Only downside, the tieflings die - meaning Dammon and Karlach's personal quest and romance, if you romancing her.

Karlach just isn’t it if you want to play like this.

Her voice is not too feminine but her sex is WAY more feminine than what you would get with Karlach , trust me on that one. Plus she is still sexy and has family values : she won’t ask you to turn your back on your family even as dysfunctional as it is because her own family is just as dysfunctional.

She would stand by your side and approve every time you manhandle situations.

Her romance arc although lacking sex scene in act 3 is the best - in act 1 at the goblin party she just tells you that you should “give yourself “ to her.

But after saving her, after her seing how the prince of House Bhaal manhandles business and after learning that you are not some ordinary guy, you are the Son of Bhaal himself - she would tell you that “tonight I am yours” in the end. Like no more she looks at you like her play toy , she finally will trust you and give you the respect by recognizing that you are The Man in this relationship.

She looks really pretty with some of the gear you find too

Even if I get flamed by Karlach, i still roll with it because barbarian bear heart is too satisfying on karlach, plus the piercings look great on her.

Will for sure do a playthrough with minthara some day though, maybe after my current one !

Exactly! My D Urge isn’t evil, he just has strong family values and considers “family over everything “.

He was trained by his father , the Al Capone of Faerun, the Lord himself : Bhaal to do what needs to be done : kill before being killed.

The others are just jealous that they aren’t privileged like me and so are hating and making me break my relationship with Pops, however a few of them really gets it: Astarion and Minthara mainly . Shadowhearth after she embraces her Shar family also understands that with great power sometimes we need to make great sacrifices.

But in the end, it doesn’t matter what the others say, it’s all about family .
