I want to keep the Golem

In Act 2 in shar's gauntlet there's that Necromancer that gives me a bell to summon his pet flesh Golem I have a couple question about the Golem first of all when I summon him do I have to still be in the temple or can I summon him anywhere? Is it possible for me to kill the Necromancer and his skeletons but keep the Golem as a pet?

I think the bell can ONLY be used in Shar's sanctum. Realistically I think there's only one fight you can/might want to use it on. A little bit of a dud in general but it makes sense for story reasons.

Fun reaction if you nick it off B and try to use it while fighting him. But no, it's good for the Gauntlet and nowhere else. Thankfully, considering how twitchy the npcs in Act three get about summons and pets.

They don't care about summons anymore after a few patches ago. Except the kids. They still follow raven familiar everywhere
