Don't want to spoil it for others, but what I will say is that I highly recommend interacting with this orb the first time you enter The Devil's Fee, and then interacting with it again after you've, you know, done something important....

Seriously though, stuff like this is just cool immersion content which I find incredibly cool. A lesser game would have never included something like this in the first place, and a poorly executed game would have overlooked any change in one's playthrough which might effect the dialogue that's presented. It's simple and small, but also just a really satisfying cherry on top of this particular part of the story. If you choose to go this route :)
