Bleeding is 100% useless
Especially later on. But even at the beginning, its just... trash. 2dmg per round of extra damage that comes on the enemys turn, is not impressive status alignment. At least bleeding should cause 2pts of dmg for every movement tile that enemy moves, or, 10% of max hp dmg every turn that enemy is alive.

When you get an unique, epic, Symbol of Bhaal amulet in Act3 for doing heinous acts of pure evil, it gives you an ability to.... bleed enemies... lol. That is 100% useless there, when enemies have like 150hp and you can cause them 2hp per dmg if they fail at saves, per turn.

Simply. No.

It is the same thing since it's a bleeding wound

bleeding is a specific CONDITION. you must INFLICT it on a character, specifically, it does not happen automatically. just stop.

Bleed is not something you build for. I've had enemies die to bleeding, but it's very rare. However, bleed/poison are proc-requirements for the best wildheart barbarian abilities. Possibly for other effects as well. It's the same with most status-effects. They have some really good stuff that can be procced off of them.

Doesn't occur in the game. You get free bleeding on any attack who allow you to electrocute the blood or turn it into ice.

Bleeding isn't even a DnD status effect. It's fluff, a description of what's happening, but it doesn't have any inherent mechanics. It's something Larian added.

Also for Cloudkill, just cast heroes feast on your party, and there you go, now everyone in your party is immune to cloudkill. Go nuts!

Bleed is very useful for rogues as it can grant them advantage on the target and therefore sneak attack with a certain weapon.

And its negated entirely by wearing magical plate, it should bypass this damage reduction AT LEAST

agree, just reading these ppl you can easily tell they have absolutely no idea how to play the game. and forcing DoS mechanics in D&D its crazy.

I forget what it was, but I had something that gave me Advantage on any bleeding enemy. Even though you get lots of sources of advantage, it was very useful

damage is damage. Even those stupid spike bulbs dumped into the goblin party will kill them all before they can get to you. So will a well placed cloud of daggers, but the bulb has a big radius. Its not like that caustic band is the best item ever either, but most teams will still use it until mid act 3.
