I can't find the rusty mace no matter what I do please help

Spoiler (just in case): follow the map paths to the most south east point you can get, there's a grave there. Dig up the grave and you find his mace..

You also don't need the specific weapons, you can put any magical mace, warhammer, battleaxe and longsword on the altars.

Apparently you don't need the rusty mace any mace will do. As commented by my main character during that puzzle

Is that right? I thought you could not remove the Longsword that was already there. Or whatever it was.

In fact, the rusty mace isn't even the right mace lol. The ceremonial mace is on one of the kobolds.

You can also find Enchanted mace from same area, which also functions. Think it was from Eagle nest on top of temple.
