Old Jol's Chest
Hi,

If you go into said house and pass the check you can find the key. However, the key is not for the chest in the same room. Where is the chest the key goes with?

Thanks,

Aaron

Has this been figured out yet? I can't find where this key goes either.

Can't you just pick the lock?

That was not the question! We can access the chest. Don't know what the key belongs to because it does not belong to the chest

Nobody figured it out yet? Revisiting the game and always picked the lock BEFORE finding the key. Now I'm wondering where this key goes to. Maybe a chest in the counting house?

I don't recall any chest/safe being called "Old Jol's chest"

The key opens a safe in the basement.

Which basement? I couldn't find an entrance to a basement anywhere. Are you perhaps thinking of Old Garlow's basement?

Sorry for the late replay, hadn't subscribed here, and now it has been a while.
I was also looking for what that key was and came upon this thread, when I looked on, as far as I can remember, I found a hatch to a basement in that place and could use that key there at a safe hidden behind a painting.

It should be a separate building, with one of the murder victims, not old Garlow's (anti-witch group) but my memories are fuzzy now.

The safe in the wall, in the basement of Peartree's house (same building, lower level) is NOT unlocked with this key. I just tried and it doesn't work.
How have necromancers resurrected this so many times?

Well you see, people are looking for an answer to a question, and when no one knows the answer to the question, people keep asking the question. Any questions?

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
