Stopping Githyanki doing parry

I've noticed some Githyanki can use parry which knocks being damaged down to 1 or 0. What can I do to stop them using parry?

Use a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attack to activate their parry, follow it up with stronger stuff.

Why doesn't Lae'zel have this ability?

as far as i remamber parry is a reaction so anything that stops those works... cc works as well...

So if this is what you mean: Use a low damage attack followed by a stronger attack? If so its a bit pointless because nearly every other attack is going to be stronger

They can't parry a hold person.

loads of options... try shocking grasp cantrip not sure if it that one can get parried... Arms of Hadar, Slow, monks flurry of Blows: Stagger let say all the cc spells stuff like that. hold person, confusion, fear probably, sleep ect...i mean loads of things you can try list is big, trying and find the right one is the fun part...:) stuff like hold person gives you crits as well...

ranged attacks or spells work wonders. plus hold person.

If you've got AOE spells they work wonderfully against the Gith. This was one of the harder battles I fought in the game to date.
