I highly recommend this approach. It's possible to kill everyone in the tower except Thorm ahead of freeing the Nightsong. You don't have to kill Roah Moonglow the vendor and her people. Even if you kill everyone else in Moonrise, they remain neutral. Oh, also, don't kill the weird drow that likes playing with blood, she shows up in Act 3.
Also, for fun, you can engage Thorm in a conversation, have someone use the ring at the top of the tower to command him to drop his warhammer, grab it, and then run like hell. Once you are far enough away, you are out of battle and can warp away.
Ah, sorry - I just noticed Harpers in your post, I thought of a different fight (a bit later on, don't want to spoil it). You prolly mean the fight in the main hall?
If so then bombs are still nice, but more than 1 :)
Smokepowder ones are most common, yes. There's also Orthon bombs, they are stronger (you can get them in Shar's Gauntlet from one boss, again no spoilers).
As for guys casting Hunger, you can either silence them (using special arrows) or cast Sleet spell (it breaks concentration).
Easiest time of it (for future reference) is to kill all the folks in the 1st and 2nd floors of the tower (room by room) with the doors closed and focus to 1 shot the eyes that sound the alarm. This means you're dealing with just small encounters each time.
However since you've the full brunt of the tower organized at you with your harper allies, things above as mentioned are good but also having summons helps. Cleric summoned weapon minions, wizard etc elementals, animate dead, scrolls of both things etc.
Other things, fogs darkness etc can help limit caster changes(though they will move) Cast with web or entangle or other movement impeding helps.
Cleric Silence is golden on casters too of course as well as arrows that silence.
Water combined with electricy spells for more aoe damage and shock changes. Ice spells for causing mobs to prone.
All manner of things you can do to make it easier. And then there's of course changing difficulty settings.... :P
If you got some void bulbs left, they quite handy here.
GOTY
What I do is I misty step my dps melee guy to Ketheric and drink or cast haste then pummel him. Wall of fire or fire ball the ads to the left/right. Whatch out for when Ketheric uses misty step or teleport and keep your mage out of harms way. Deal with spider guy however you want, banish hold monster or pummel him with your other members. Relatively easy.
Really, how do people struggle? JUst BONK !
