It's absolutely not part of 5e, no. BG3 is heavily house ruled.
And honestly large parts of what i have learned about 5'th does not really try and pull me back in..
This isn't how D&D works. This is dumb "video game DoS lulz" homebrew.
It's not balanced cos they didn't use half a year after the game is done to balance everything as they should... cos it means less money... Sadly it's kind a standard nowadays in game industry. Cos it's really hard to do properly and costs money.
