Is there a way I can talk to animals in the first Act without having set as a skill in character creation?(SOLVED)

Seems like these bears got somethin to say. Is there an item I can find somehwere in this act that will enable me to converse with them?

Yes. As it happens Volo among many others deal with Animal Speaking potions.

There are potions and scrolls that help you do this, there's also an amulet that gives you the spell of Animal Speaking.

Also, any Wildheart Barbarian gains the spell as a ritual, meaning they can cast it however many times they like.

Okay I am a paladin and idk when I got it but I now have the spell to talk to animals (F/UCK YEAH). Just popped up on my bar.

One potion of Animal speaking is in the Owlbear cave, also Volo sells them in the druid grove.

You can make the potions too. Have to find acorn truffle for them.

Are you Oath of Ancients Paladin?

Because they also get it as a ritual spell at level 3.

There should be potions for animal speaking pretty early on.

Forest gnomes gains animal talk as a racial perk.

Also check vendors, they might have them. I don't really recall where, but i was always able to find a few potions of animal speaking in Act 1.
