Hello. Wich is the optimal video configuration for a Macbook Pro 2021 with M1 Pro 16 gb RAM?

With all MACs the optimal setting for gaming is to buy a PC.

Congratulations, you're as useful as an anal wart. Also, a MAC is a PC.

I have a MacBook Pro from 2021, 16 GB RAM. So pretty much the same as you. But I play on an ultra wide external monitor, so I had to lower my settings a bit. You'll have to experiment a bit to find your sweet spot.

Keep in mind that this is not a gaming machine, don't expect PS5 level graphics. It's going to look more jagged, but it works fine. Also, in my case at least, it doesn't save some of the setting for whatever reason, I have to re-enable anti-aliasing every time if I want it.

Anyway, this is what I use:
- Borderless window
- Aspect ratio, resolution, those things, set to the monitor's native values. The game does a good job autodetecting those in my experience.
- VSync, I had to set double buffering at least, the tear is unbearable on my ultra wide. It's not that bad on Retina though. I'd recommend setting either VSync, or the frame rate cap. VSync is a little bit more demanding.
- Set FSR 1.0 to Quality or Balanced. This is probably the most important setting, makes all the difference. Hopefully they'll introduce FSR 2.0 or similar in the future.
- Under Quality I left model quality, texture quality, and texture filtering on maximum settings (High/Ultra/16x), and set the rest to medium.
- Under Advanced, I use SMAA Anti-Aliasing (it doesn't save for some reason) or None. The rest are off. So no ambient occlusion, no depth of field, no god rays, no bloom and no subsurface scattering. I can live without those. Ambient occlusion probably makes the biggest difference.

It's not optimal, it's just what I settled on. The game runs pretty smooth but the graphics quality is obviously lower than on my PS5. The monitor and resolution do make a big difference though, so YMMV.
I have the same MacBook and I play on an external 4k 16:9 display. I've set the game to ultra and every special fx turned on, 1440p, SMAA, VSync tripple buffering, 60 FPS cap and FSR at high quality.
Game plays extremely well on all ultra settings on my MBP M1 Pro ... however, I already encountered two crashes where game completely quits with no apparent reason. Anyone else seen this? Maybe ideas as to what setting could have caused it?

You can use the suggestions mentioned here in the graphics settings section and adjust it accordingly to your Mac

The excerpt from RPS should work with Mac as well

Thanks for the answer.
The game autodetects my Mac with the maximum resolution of Retina 3024 x 1964, and all the global settings on ultra with FSR off. With that the FPS are 15 as much. And with FSR ON on Ultra Quality or Quality, the FPS goes to 20-25.
If I put the resolution to 1512 x 982 (the default resolution according to Macbook settings), it improves a lot with 40-60 fps. I think I will have to play with configuration.
Also, I read that the optimal configuration for this Macbook is 1920 x 1200, but I can't find it in any aspect ratio. Do you know how?

What Aspect Ratio and Resolution do you suggest for my Macbook's Retina?
