Astarion romance q (Act 2)

So I'm in Act 2 atm, near the end, I have visited Moonrise Towers and completed Shar's place except the very last part (Nightsong). Astarion hasn't had a lot to say to all this, and his approval is still just "Fair".

I wonder, do I need to roll back and try increase his approval somehow? Or is there anything I need to do for his convos to trigger? Oddly enough, Gale's hologram popped up but I told him I wasn't interested.

It takes forever to max his approval, especially if you are not being murder hobo. It can be higher than fair at that point though. Did you make him bite the drow or insist on shagging when he wasn't in the mood?

We haven't met the drow yet and didn't have the option to insist on anything... There was the convo about 'considering our options about the parasites' but that's it so far in Act 2.

OK I managed to find the drow and get Astarion's approval to Good (hard work lol :D) and got the hug scene. Hopefully things will progress as intended from here.

(Side note: I just love how well written these character stories are... This convo sent chills down my spine for real)

Funnily enough, Gale complained the next morning and put on a full break up show. Wtf? I told his hologram I wasn't interested, I told him to drop the subject when he was admiring my sweaty muscles, I literally took every opportunity to make sure I'm not romancing him... The poor thing still thought otherwise... ^^ I get the feeling romance options don't matter at all, it's purely based on approval (Gale's is very high).
