Huh, I guess if Isobel gets captured then it's basically a game over if that's the case.
So, reload a prior save I suppose and consider losing the fight as a game over.

find arpists when u enter the map from grymforge and do the ambush to kill the drider or if u have the minthara lyre u can play it and the drider will appear, he's got the item u need
I haven't even met the bloke no where. I'm no noticing that there's a portion of fog of war still present on the mini-map, gonna explore there.
Regarding lantern's, I've gotten a broken one (?), which does not work (the narrator tells that you do not know how to work it or something).

Made the encounter rather easy.
I'm guessing you entered from the Underdark. If you enter from Mountain Pass, you will run into some NPCs that can assist. As long as you have the Harp (Orange Quest Item).
Use Sanctuary on Isobel after each of her actions. Makes it impossible for enemies to target her. Makes it a lot more fair fight for you. It will disappear when she acts again because Isobel has the survival instincts of a deer on the Autobon.
Follow the path from right to left, you'll meet the drider along the way
