Voss and Guardian: plothole or...
When Voss approaches you after certain events, the Guardian says "don't trust him" but he just confirms what the Guardian says in the Astral Plane: their Queen is a con . An overlooked detail? plothole? willful mislead tactic?

How far are you in the game?

just met him in the 'special' cutscene when you leave the creche. Wanted to slap the Guardian, because he said the same thing minutes earlier, and to me that seemed odd. Like "hey, you said that too, why are you asking me to doubt him, if you said the same thing? you don't believe in the things you say?"

It's intentional, wait and see.

It'll make sense next time they come up. Voss and the Guardian want different things while agreeing on specific things.
If you pay attention, you can tell your dream guardian is manipulating you from the very first encounter. The inherent contradictions in the words they say to you are fully within grasp from the moment you meet them. I haven't even gotten past act 2 in any of my playthroughs, so can't say for sure, but I assume the goal of the dream guardian is for you to become a mind flayer. Or something to that effect, which would subordinate you to their real self.

Finish the game to see if there are still plotholes, not before.

well, it doesn't require much effort to figure that out. EVERYONE is trying to manipulate me in some way or another.

with a tadpole already well into the brain, that was inevitable anyway so it would be dumb to just "plot to do something that will happen regardless" (on the contrary, the Guardian claims to be halting my process of becoming a mind flayer).

The thing is, I am playing as a Cleric of Mystra (well, multiclassing but still) and, while doing Gale's quest, I ended up with some special conversation options specific for this subclass that gave me some idea. My guess is that the 'game' is not just between The Absolute vs everyone else. No, there must be some third (or perhaps fourth) party at play with their own agenda.
