you need one of those moonlanters with a tinkerbell inside, Isobels magic and torches cant help you in that area

go back to last light and when you walk over the bridge to leave there is a group there that will initiate a conversation that you should follow - quick save first tho is a good idea

I've already freed that tinkerbell and got the permanent buff, yet still taking damage.
Even holding a torch, casting light source spells, none of that works. I just take damage.

You need to either release the fairy from the Moonlantern or keep it to yourself and light the way

Since you claim you already got the permanent buff - I ask you double check again and make sure you actually have it - I have never have issue with this part. 1st playthrough use Moonlantern and 2nd playthrough get perm buff. And I have ran across Shadow Cursed Lands with 1 character with BUFF through Lands with out issue that includes Moon Rise Towers.

If issue persist, reroll to previous save make sure you actually have either method of repel shadow curse

After double checking I did lose the buff when traversed between acts and read online I'm supposed to have a bell to regain it but I never received a bell and I'm very far now into the story, I just need to enter the area near the moonrise towers but the curse is too strong.

if for some reason the buff is gone that is supposed to protect you, you should have a bell in your inventory from releasing the pixie.
That should allow you to reapply the buff if I'm not mistaken.

I already wrote that I never received a bell and I'm too far into the story to have any save before that interaction

I need a workaround or it's most likely an uninstall from my part and just never play this google search simulator of a game.

double check every companion's inventory and the traveler chest, perhaps the bell is not on your main character

I did , I'm 100% sure, I've got one poor vendor that I sell all my stuff to , checked his inventory, checked mine and the camp side as well.
But the biggest issue is the fact I remember never receiving any bell. I didn't know I was supposed to get one.

Thanks for trying to help though

Normally you get it after releasing the pixie.
I totally get your frustration, it's not even marked as quest item.

I see people mentioning using CheatEngine to spawn Moonlanterns (someone lost the bell due to a bug):

The pixie tells you to ring the bell to get the buff. But you actually already get the buff, which confuses a lot of people that then try to ring the bell.

It should be very obvious during the talk with the pixie that you get a bell.

Get an other lantern then if you discarded the bell.

Just go to Moonrise and there's one in Balthazar's room, you can run through the toll house curse with those click heels shoes you get from the gnome in the underdark or you can do what I did and use one party member to run/misty step through the curse until you get to the Moonrise purple portal. As soon as I got to Moonrise I ran up stairs to get the lantern, did some shopping then freed the tieflings/gnomes and then we all head to Last light inn together.

I chose not to get the other lantern with the fairy because it avoided needless slaughter/death, I wasn't too impressed with Harpers in that instance because they are supposed to be the good guys..
