Was there a "pulling blast" in EA?
I maybe have a false memory but I recall being able to pull the hobgoblin into the spier pit using eldritch blast.

The only skill I know of that will pull towards you is the Thorn Whip[bg3.wiki] that Druids have.

it used to be fighters special illithid power, it was like a force push but pulled enemies towards u

There was a commonplace act 1 item, spear, that had a bonus attack that pulled in an enemy. Probably the best bonus attack out there besides a hand xbow or monk bonus strikes.

So it's all a fake memory? I remember being forced to choose between a pushing blast and a pulling blast. But I guess I dreamt it.

the monk attack water whip can either knock prone or pull towards, maybe that's what it is

I only played warlock and fighter in EA. So it's weird I have this memory.

I mean, it might not be "fake", a conflation of two memories is commonplace and not at all "fake," just inaccurate. Also, there were weeks that a spell or power went in and then got changed a week or three later, and no mention was ever made of it in the notes.

I swear I had a mission where I got a tarnished ring and you could pass it around to people until someone passed an arcane check and it was revealed to be a "ring of protection +1" And that's why the tarnished ring shows up with a "magical" border in like 4 different spots in the game now, and there are absolutely ZERO rings of protection to be found anywhere except off Tiefling mission. Did I imagine that? Maybe!

It's an Eldritch Invocation in Dnd 5e called Grasp of Hadar. I can't tell you if it was ever implented in the game or not. Maybe it was in EA but they removed it?

I think that that invocation is implemented in the Hexblade Warlock mod from Nexus Mods.

No clue whether it was ever in BG3 EA and removed or not.

I think Warlock with Pact of the Tome has access to Thorn Whip cantrip. It pulls enemies 3m towards you.
