Evil Playthroughs?
I've never done a playthrough with my character being evil which I am planning on doing in my next playthrough. How does that work as most of the companions you can gain are good aligned characters such as Shadowheart, Gale, Halsin, Wyll, Karlach.

The only characters I have come across who can be classed as maybe evil are Lae'zel and Asterian. What others have I missed (I'm thinking I've missed them because I have always played a good aligned playthrough.

Another thing I am thinking is in what direction in playing evil could I go. Could I play being all for helping the absolute or wanting to destroy everyone including the absolute but not including my companions and trying to rule the world?

Best bet is to find a YouTube video or print guide on how to do an effective Evil play through.
Shadowheart could be convinced to kill aasimar girl and became a Shar justicar. You decide her fate.

So yes in general, like to the last bits. Shadowheart also starts evil and can remain evil. Really they can all go either way except Karlach, Wyll, Halsin and Minthara. If you go evil and attack the grove then you're giving up the first 3 good guys for the one evil gal. If you go good then Minthara's out.

Also if you've never tried dark urge it's an origin character you can still fully customize and fits really well with evil characters *and* fighting the urge (within yourself) as a good guy. But yeah probly great for a first time full evil run.

I just finished an evil playthrough with :
-Astarion (chaotic evil)
-Lae'zel (Lawful evil)
-Minthara (I would say a bit of both chaotic/lawful evil)
Apparently it could also be done with Shadowheart if you perform certain actions that make her "bad" from act 2
Spoiler : Make her kill nightsong with the night spear

Lae'zel will sometimes not approve something evil while Minthara and Astarion will approve together, don't be too surprised about that.

For the direction you want to go to, this is up to you, but I would recommend you gather informations about items if you wanna follow a specific build because some items might not be available anymore (ex: evasive boots with +1 CA if you kill everyone in the emerald grove )

You can go with either choices for the evil direction
-Helping the absolute
-Killing everyone and be the last survivor of them all
You will still have to make some choices anyway, good luck :)

You can also kill your companions if you want to be truly evil, but if you want to go this route be careful as Gale cannot be killed or you will lose your game. You either keep him with you or never recruit him at all.

The options are limited, that's right. But the party composition is great: PC (Sorcerer), LaeZel (Fighter), Astarion (Thief/Fighter), Minthara (Paladin or Cleric). That's all you need. I killed Shadowheart after she decided to take hand against my lovely, noseless, green girlfriend!

Define evil.

Example Wyll Says his mission is to kill Karlack finishes his mission and she admit killing people.

Then when you tell Wyll that it's a little too late to come up with remorse after her head is cut off, we can't make it undone.

And for that you are evil because he killed her on contract.
