How to Create a New Character for an Existing Client's Avatar (up to a party of three)
Best you use this workaround only with friends. :Avinia::Kyle::Rider_2:

And for convenience, you can let the client do that who wants so badly create a new character for whatever reason. Does it work for host as well? Damn. I did not test that. In theory it should.

1. Client gets savegame, if the host lets the client do that.
Why? That way client does not need to share screenshots of their desired character design etc. etc. pp. and they can do that AFTER your session on their own. Not occupying your precious playtime with that.

2. Client starts the game multiple times, to be precise: number of existing avatars +1
using the usual "trick" :MHRISE_Felyne:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3015842445

3. All instances of the game joining "multiplayer" via LAN / direct connection ~ debug_profile_1, etc. as described in the guide above

4. The +1 gets the prompt to create a new character with new name, design etc. Their level will be adjusted to avatar later on automatically.

5. Once done, save the game and give savegame back to host.

6. When joining the multiplayer game proper, host assign the client the new made character instead of their existing one - the existing one can be put into the wardrobe.

Enjoy ~

This workaround until there is something better officially. :spacehamster:
It might even work with a party of four and even unlimited. But I have not tested that. Just letting you know there is a mod to have more party members. That might help. If anyone tests that, feel free to share your findings. :lis_alex:

"Just Google it!" they say. And then the replies to every single thread are people saying "Just Google it!"

Whatever.

I have seen people trying to argue with arguments they found on Google.
And those were all wrong. And I have seen people even complaining about things from my guides which were stolen and copy&pasted onto some sites. Copy&pasted - yeah - but without all the updates.

If people are fine with Google results, they can do it with that. I absolutely do not mind.

I think you're doing a good job helping people out man, I approve.

Some people just don't know things like this exist, so they'd never Google it in the first place.
