How to play as Dame Aylin IRL

How would I play as Aylin in the actual game? Some parts are obvious (be Assamir, pick Paladin for at least one level), but is there anything specific I'd need to do? Is there a way for me to do that magical girl transformation she does in-game or would I have to ask the GM for a special item/ability/forgo it?

Aasimar, ancient oath paladin. Ancient Oath paladin gets Moonbeam and misty step, the most spellcasting of the paladins. Then you just need some kind of method to get flying ontop, i dont know aasimar gets flying at high level like draconic sorcerers.

Protector can fly for 1 minute starting at level 3, but then they need to LR to get it back. Is ancient oath fitting for her?

Aylin is a child of Selune and a paladin, the moonmaiden. Moonmagic is essential to be in character for her. Moonbeam is an ability Aylin gets ingame, and ancient oath paladins gets that ability.

He is talking about the Aasimaar subclasses.
Aasimaar Protector, allows you to fly once pr. long rest.

Also, Aasimaar are extremely overpowered in 5e, and i would never allow a player to start out as Aasimaar, at level 1.

Unfortunately, if I'm playing a character like her, that's part of the set-up. It's not like the brokeness that is silvery barbs though and I've shown myself to be more than capable of not being an OP minmaxing jerkwad in the past though.
