But this game isn't all that difficult, unless you mean to try that on Tactician.
Unless you mean dual wielding Lazael as a weapon, in which case you'd need to clone her.
My Dual Wield party member is the Rogue who just shreds the opposition with dual Hand Crossbows and dual Finesse blades. It is a Rogue/Fighter build. Very nasty. :)
Good Luck
2H builds knock out a couple hundred HP a round. DW just doesn't.
So, you lose the Great Weapon fighting style bonus, which allows her to re-roll damage once if she rolls low, and since she lacks the two-weapon fighting style she will not gain Strength bonus for off-hand damage. But, having the second attack is still good.
So, she will do fine if you have her dual-weild, slightly less than she would with a two-hander. But only slightly. Just choose appropriate growths on her level ups. Remember that "finesse" weapons can still use Strength if it is higher. They only default to Dex for their stat if Dex is higher than Str. Dual-weilding Shortswords effectively gives you the same base damage as a greatsword, 2d6+Str, assuming all the weapons hit. Just not the same weapon skills and not the same features apply to them.
Ultimately it is probably slightly worse, but unless you are already struggling on the difficulty, she will do fine either way.
I imagined it could not be extremely horrible but as anybody else says it would be worse than 2H, so i'll probably try it for the funs and know if it doesnt work out im going to change her to 2h again. Having Withers is quite nice XD
Thanks everyone for your inputs, much appreciated!
- Githyanki Greatsword (Taken from the Gith patrol leader in act 1 near the mountain pass transition). +1 Enchantment, +2 to initiative, +1d4 psychic damage when wielded by a Githyanki
- Soulbreaker Greatsword (Taken from the Githyanki commander at the creche in the mountain pass in act 1). +2 Enchantment, +2 to initiative, +1d4 psychic damage when wielded by a Githyanki
- Silversword of the Astral Plane (Given to you by Kith'rak Voss after retrieving the Orphic Hammer in Act 3). +3 Enchantment, When wielded by a Githyanki: +1d6 psychic damage, advantage on INT, WIS and CHA saving throws, cannot be charmed and resistance to psychic damage.
If you don't have another Githyanki, it's a shame to leave those swords gathering dust.Thats a very good point actually. I have come across these gyth weapons aswell and couldnt do anything than store/sell them because on my Singleplayer run lae'zel isnt breathing anymore since act 1.
If you have a barbarian then you're probably fine running whatever with her, otherwise yea i'd agree with the rest of the thread in recommending going with 2H.
