What's your favorite character?

After 20 hours of gameplay I can safely say who I like from party and who I hate.

1. Karlach. She is my number one. Always with me. I just love that toon. Her enthusiasm to kill everything. Naked she looks amazing. I can make 5 attacks with her. She is absolute killing machine.

2. Shadowheart. She rests in camp 24/7. I just hate her. When I'm done with the game I'm going to find a way to kill her.

3. Astarion. Must have toon when you try to lockpick or disarm traps. I love vampires but this one is just meh. Stays in my camp.

4. Wyll. I have no weapon for him. Running him with bare hands. Well, he needs only spells. I like his story and his nemesis. Using him as often as I can.

5. Gale. I'm so glad I saved him. Now he runs with me everywhere. What a killer mage he is.

6. Halsin. Can't use him just now but fingers crossed he is playable toon later on game. Looks like killer transforming into bear.

7. Lae'zel. Dunno how good or bad she is. I let her die and don't mind. Didn't like her looks so...

If there are more, I haven't met them yet. Who is in your party 24/7?

Astarion respecced to Wizard wearing robes fits the personality perfectly and has easily become my baseline companion.

Karlach is 1 on dislike, just too much of a goody twoshoes bubblehead.
Halsin is close by, just uninteresting. He always sits in my camp.

Lae-Zel is underrated, she grows so much once youve convinced her she have lived a lie. Best character growth. And it helps you get a legendary 2hander for completing her story.

Astarion is entertaining with all his snark, but you too can redeem him, or turn him into a glorious vampire lord monster.

Wyll and Shadowheart is just ok, very story involved but otherwise uninteresting.

Minthara is not worth what you give up for taking her, she can rot.

I used to dislike Gale, but im starting to reconsider as his story is more of a late bloomer and he have some unique later perks. Like advantage on concentration checks without taking a feat, and a bonus third level spell slot.


Edit: I think i know how i might express my dislike for Karlach in another playthrough. She will get forced to be the mindflayer, ensuring the player and Lae-zel can hit it up and fly off on a red dragon together after freeing Orpheus and needing a suitable sacrifice to turn into an illithid.

I love both Karlach and Shadowheart, though Karlach is obviously #1.

Only bad thing about Shadowheart is her build. Trickery domain is just so bleh.

Gonna have to consider who to adventure with on a 2nd playthrough, but there definitely is room for Shadowheart re-specced into a Paladin, since I don't think I want to do an evil playthrough to get Minthara.

My final almost 24/7 party member (who I dropped if doing someone elses companion quest) was Wyll.

Didn't like him too much though, I just couldn't stand Gale anymore and needed some spell damage in party. Would probably rank him shared 3rd place with Astarion out of the Origin companions.

my second playthrough will be about "execute order 66" as much as the game will let me. Total annihilation.

I liked Astarian so much I let him get his way in his storyline. Then he turned all power-mad creepy and I liked him even more, lol.

I'm not a fan of Karlach, tbh. In your face "wholesome" and just OTT nice. Shame really cos she's a total tank.

Karlach is absolutely my favorite character. No question. Her story isn't the best, I didn't care for the Barbarian class, but still....she's a joy to have around.

I freaking hate Astarion. I'm using him in my second play through, and I just.....can't.....I hate him. Every time he speaks I wanna send him for a long dive off a short bridge....
