In Gauntlet of Shar, getting confused...

I got the impression I was supposed to claim 3 gems or somesuch... and this looks like one of them, but I can't interact with it:

Is it just decorative? I mean is there any point to this room?

The Gems are round Balls glowing purple... cant possible miss them.
Those things are just teleporters who bring you back to the start of the trial, just so you dont have to walk back

The jewels you need to collect are purple, but they are perfect orbs. One of them is already in place where the others need to go.

I think I figured out what I was doing wrong.
I saw the bowl of sacrifice at the start of the trial and thought I was supposed to collect something IN the trial to sacrifice in the bowl... and then I forgot the bowl existed.... and opened up all the trial doors and whatnot without ever clicking on it... and couldn't figure out why I couldn't complete the trial.

I was just leaving when I noticed the bowl again and figured I might as well click on it on the off chance it did something without me having something to sacrifice in it.
Seems I was supposed to put blood in it to start the trial all along.

It was already on the bottom of the second page. If I left it an hour, the thread would be lost somewhere down the pile. Nobody even noticed it existed, and unless it was brought back to the front, nobody ever would.
And honestly, standing in an empty room at the end of a Shar trial for 20 minutes is more than long enough.

If the mods here would take down these bait threads faster and more regularly we wouldnt have normal threads lost to the void. Thats why im so upset about the trolls that cry around so much.


Edit: Also i didnt add since you alredy got your answer but to keep it on topic, yes, that is just a teleporter. Now you have 1 clarifcation more ;) The gauntlets of shar are looking like orbs and you can pick them up, wont spoil any more for you though.
