Shadowheart was given legendary spear but is missing.

I got the cut scene where Shadowheart was given the upgraded spear.
Not in inventory or ground. No spear at all btw (the low grade version from Shar trials)
Had Tav talk to spear giver. Cut scene replay. No spear.
Had Shadowheart talk to spear giver again. No luck.
Does the legendary spear show up after getting to Baldur's Gate?
Any suggestions?

have you checked tav's inventory?

I had this happen to me. Turns out it was equipped on the character that initiated the convo with Nightsong. Confused me for a while.

Yep, checked everyone's bags and moused over everything since I've been seeing the bag items glitch where a scroll looks like a sword or potion looks like something else.

No luck. No one has it equipped or in their bags. Seems like I read a thread saying something about this spear may pop up when you get to Baldaurs Gate. Haven't set out yet. All done with act 2 , just don't wanna miss out on this spear.

Shame. I remember it confused me for like 15 minutes and I was worried I had lost it somewhere, but then I found Karlach had it equipped and I just hadn't noticed. Turns out the convo - I think with Nightsong? - was originally started by Karloch, so she just got given it. I remember thinking, they need to sort that, surely it should go to Shadowheart's inventory?
