Cant trigger finding oliver on the second round of hide and seek

I have the eye that lets u see invisible people and i literally see him strolling around the house but theres no dialogue option to catch him

Kill the parents and dog. He'll say you won and doesn't want to play again. You can return later when/if you need to.

I ended up accidentally killing him in the second round without even realizing it. I think I dropped a fireball where he was hiding invisibly. (It was OK, though -- I could still finish the "lift the curse" quest because killing him doesn't really kill him, or something like that.)
