That is the correct one.
In principal I'd like to agree, but I'm not sure its entirely accurate. If you never played (or imported) ME1 to ME2 for example, there was a set of choices ME2 assumed. That set of choices is in a sense 'cannon'.
BG2 had "Abdel Adrian" which is what got cannonized into FR, even though I never was interested in that dingbat.
And if there is a novel, or reference to BG3 events within official FR lore - that will become cannon.
A lot of players assume Dark Urge (given how much effort was put into it, and that it has obvious ties to thematic aspects of the first two games because it can turn into the slayer making the PC part of the bhaalspawn lineage .
Theres a rumor floating around the DURGE was initally written to be part of tav in general. Becuase of the spoier above, I tend to think the rumor wasnt entirely invented out of whole cloth whatever the truth of it may be
