Baldur's Gate 3

Statistiche:
bag managment
So iv been using backpacks and pouches to try to keep my inventory from being so cluttered, all is going well, but then as the game goes on and as i keep adding to the bag it does not stack items. For some reason the game will not stack items inside a bag you keep adding to so if you add 100 arrows one at a time to the bag it will have a 100 separate arrows, you can just take all and when it goes to your inventory it will stack right then put back but i hope they fix this bug.

On side note it would be great if we could name bags so we can label them like scrolls, potions and so on.

When adding items to containers, if you want them to auto-stack with the contents that are already there (*assuming* the new quantity is below the threshold of a "max cap" stack), simply open the container, and drop the selection into the ICON of the container in question (located above the "> Sorting Options" bar.)

so your saying that if i just drag it to the bag in my inventory it doesn't auto stack but if i open it and add it to the pic at the top of the open bag it does auto sort? Ill check this out when i get home ty for the tip
100% agreed, why items inside pouches dont stack? why there are no named or ranamable pouches? why we cant filter items based on item category? and why there are only 3 category? i mean should be there a filter option to see all potions, all scrolls, all weapons, all boots, all shields etc; and WHY there is no search for the common camp stash?
Inventory managment sux really hard

So true
imho, all identical Items should auto-stack at the same inventory level in every normal inventory or vendor or pickpocket interaction where items change hands and interact with inventory mechanics, unless I specifically split the stack.

I would love it if "sort" functions auto stacked, even if i had manually split a stack at the same inventory level.

Sadly many identical junk, food, and drink items seem to have different tag's or id's that don't allow them to stack at all, even manually.

I hope they clean that up soon, though its been an annoying aspect of all Larian games so I am skeptical they will improve that functionality. Even moreso, given how the recent update broke aspects of inventory management.

Inventory management is such a pain. I'm always looking for backpacks and bags with individual names as a workaround. F. ex. there is an "apprentice backpack" in the spider cave in act 1.
